Page numbering

The Page is a page numbering field in MoneyWorks form designer which you can insert into the form (template) such as invoice or purchase order.

Page numbering is a sequential number applied on a document (or book).

Add a calculation box into the template, then add the page field into the calculation box, check the Always Calculate checkbox to allow the system to calculate and print the page number accordingly.

Reordering

You can automate the reordering process in MoneyWorks, that is creating a Purchase Order from the Sales Order automatically when stock on hand is below the committed quantity.

During the reordering process, MoneyWorks picks up both the Supplier’s Code and Product Description (with a colon separating them) and record the information in the item description field of the Purchase Order transaction:

“Supplier’s Code: Product Description”.

However, for those who has a dedicated column for the Supplier’s Code, or prefer not to show the Supplier’s Code and Colon in the item description (Detail.Description), may consider using a Slice() function to remove it from the Purchase Order form.

Slice (text, whichItem, itemDelimiter)

The colon (:) in the Detail Description is the delimiter, whereas the Product Description is the second element of the colon-delimited list. So, the Slice() function will be:

Slice (Detail.Description, “2”, “:”)

With the Slice () function added, it prints as ‘Product Description’ instead of the default “Supplier’s Code: Product Description”.

How to print a payment voucher from the MoneyWorks accounting software?

Open the payment transaction, click the Print icon and follow by the OK button, to print a payment voucher. The payment voucher is using the Cheque/Remittance Advice form designer to create, which has a *.remt extension.

Payment

The cheque specific fields such as payment reference number, payment date, and payee can be picked up from the special cheque pseudo-file via a Calculation Box Tool. Whereas the related invoices paid, which are the transaction fields, can be printed using a List Box Tool from the form designer.

It is not too difficult for a user to amend the system template such as adding a logo, lines, additional text, and those available fields from the box tool. However, you may consider engaging a MoneyWorks consultant near your area if you have a complex form requirement.
