QuickBooks error: The Parameter is Incorrect
Software: QuickBooks (Asia edn) 2005/06, 2006/07 and 2007/08
User gets the error message “The Parameter is Incorrect” when they try to activate QuickBooks. This error was due to conflict between IE (Internal Explore) and QuickBooks program. During activation, QuickBooks actually launched IE. If the IE version was not supported by QuickBooks, error message of “The Parameter Incorrect” will prompt.
To resolve it, user can consider downgrading the IE to the version that supported by the QuickBooks (refer to the Systems Requirement printed on the QuickBooks retail box). For Asia edition, user can do a manual registration via the web. User can either go to www.quicken.com.au or www.quicken-asia.com to register. Once you received the license code (activation code), you can launch your QuickBooks with your company file open and press Ctrl + F12 key to enter your license code.
