Turn on Multi-currency feature

Software: QuickBooks 2011 Premier (Canadian edition)

 

Multi-currency feature by default is not turn on when you create a new company file. To turn on the multicurrency feature in QuickBooks 2011 Canadian edition, go to Edit menu and select Preferences.

In the Preferences window, highlight Multiple Currencies (left panel), from the Company Preferences tab, click the radio button for “Yes, I use more than one currency” and select your currency type from the drop down list.

If your currency type is not in the drop down list, select <View More Currencies> to view other currency type. Example: if your home currency is Singapore Dollar, select  <View More Currencies> from the drop down list and click the “Make it Active” button in the Inactive Element Window; and select your home currency, which is Singapore Dollar, from the drop down list. Lastly, click the OK button to save your setting.

Note:  Some of the features may be disabled if the home currency is not set to Canadian Dollar.
