Software: MoneyWorks accounting software
When creating a transaction, such as Sales Invoice or Purchase Invoice, the last day of period was wrongly stated (see below image).
In the above example, when an invoice was created for the month of Jun 2011, the Period showed as “Jun:2011 ends 30/7/11” instead of “Jun:2011 ends 30/06/11”.
This data file was NOT corrupted.
The problem was due to when the user was creating a new period; he/she accidentally entered the last day of period as 30/7/2011 instead of 30/06/2011 (usually last day of the month is automatically used as the last day of the period, however, this user had accidentally amended it manually).
To resolve the issue, you can:
- Backup your data file (if you are in multi-user mode, other users should log out of the data file)
- Go to the Command menu and select Open/Close Period.
Click the icon before the Last day of Period and follow by changing the date from 30/07/2011 to 30/06/2011 (as according to your last day of period). Then, click the “Done” button to save your setting.
Now, you can try creating a transaction (such as Sales Invoice), the Period will be shown correctly.
